Slonim joins Vizhnitz: don't report to recruit centers

Another member of the Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Israel joins the decision not to report to the draft center.

By order of the Rebbe of Slonim, no Hasidic yeshiva students will report to the offices at the first order.

The directive was issued by the Rebbe's son – the Rosh Yeshiva Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Berzovsky, according to which one should not report at the centers, following the conscription law which was approved.

Slonim explains that the order is temporary. Regarding a regular procedure, it will be decided by the Hasidic Council of Agudath Israel which is expected to meet soon and decide the matter.

However, a factor in Agudath Israel says to Behadrey Haredim that: "It is not clear when it would convene due to differences of opinion among the Rebbes on the topic of reporting. It is estimated that every Rebbe will instruct the bochurim how to behave and there is no assurance that the decision will be united."

So far the Rebbe of Vizhnitz instructs yeshiva students not to report not a first order, thus Slonim joins Vizhnitz's decision on the matter.
