NYPD found today (Sunday) afternoon the absentee from Monsey in his car, lifeless.
As recalled, for ten days hundreds of volunteers from Monsey, New York and Lakewood have been conducting searches for Peretz Zuntag, a Haredi Jew who lives in Monsey who disappeared a week ago on a Friday afternoon.
A special command post was set up immediately after his disappearance, hundreds of volunteers searched in all the parks in the area, in parking lots and everywhere possible – but with no results.
Last Thursday, the family announced a reward of 30 thousand dollars to anyone who brings information on his whereabouts.
This morning, it was decided to dispatch a helicopter to the area where Zuntag disappeared. Indeed, as mentioned, in the afternoon, his black Kia Optima car was found which apparently rolled down from the mountainside and stopped on high vegetation, where Perez's body was found.
The Haverim organization went into action to prevent the desecration of the body since the police wishes to check the cause of death. The time of funeral has not yet been determined.
