Against accusations at the Haredi community about work ethics and equality of burden, the one who is called 'the man on the electricity switch' - Manufacturers Association President and Chairman of the Presidium of the business organizations in Israel, Zvi Oren, who is considered one of the most influential people in the Israeli economy, surprises. Yesterday Oren arrived in Kfar Chabad, for a visit in the Chabad Association led by Rabbi Aharonov.
Just earlier this week we were announced about the publication of a strikes report of last year, showing a drop of seventy percent of the strikes and sanctions, many pointed to one of the important factors that led to this excellent figure - the moderate temperament of the President of the Manufacturers Association as a restraint in the economy, alongside the chairman of the Histadrut.
Yesterday he sounded excited in the limited meeting held in the conference room in building 770 in the village: "I'm sitting with you right after I got to watch a video of the Rebbe and pray at a copy of his room, it is a great privilege to be here," he said.
At the meeting which was aimed at formulating a program for the Haredi public's employment, which was attended by chairman of the Chabad Association Rabbi Yoseph Yitzchak HaCohen Aharonov, Chabad spokesman and director of publications Rabbi Menachem Brod and Secretary of Ago"h Ariel Lemberg, Oren said: "We are proud of Haredi workers in the Israeli industry, they are hardworking, reliable, dedicated and honest, they have the highest work ethic, we want and yearn to absorb more and more of this sector, we are willing to invest resources and do above and beyond to integrate them into respected positions in our glorious industry, and I want and would love to be an active participant in any plan to help and assist it."
The impressive visit of the President of the Association together with the Chief of Staff of the Presidency Yaki Marmor began at the Matzo bakery in Kfar Chabad, where the chief supervisor Yoske Kook escorted him to all stages of baking, while the guests joined in the work, and watched the shipment terminal which launches Matzos to thousands of shluchim all over the world, went on to a tour of the unique industry of the Rover family in Kfar Chabad, where Oren was surprised to receive a leather bound Tehillim book stamped with his name on it, and terminated as stated by the hosting of director of Ago"h Rabbi Menachem Mendel Latter, who while touring the outskirts of Beit 770 taught about the Rebbe with a video presentation and pictures, and with prayer at the 'Rebbe's Room'.
