Tragedies in Chabad again this morning (Wednesday): Chabad emissary in Ramat - Gan, Rabbi Mordechai (Moti) Gal, passed away after fighting a serious illness from which he suffered for two years. In recent weeks his condition worsened and he returned his soul to its Creator at the age of 60.
The funeral will leave from his home at 17:00pm on 44 Peretz Bernstein Street in Ramat Gan and at 19:00 from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, where he will be buried.
Earlier the shlicha Mrs. Reishi Minkovitz a"h, wife of yblht"a the shliach in Alperta, Georgia, Rabbi Hershey Manikowitz, died suddenly at the age of 38. Both were shlichim in Atlanta since 5758 (1998).
The deceased a"h is the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Meir and Sarah Lieberman from Crown Heights. She was very active in Jewish outreach at her place of residence. These days she was busy organizing a Purim event for confidants of the Chabad House. She is survived by 16 brothers who are emissaries around the world.
Due to the painful disasters with the demise of four prominent emissaries recently, all emissaries from across the country will convene for a chizuk gathering to be held on this Thursday Ta'anis Esther, in the Beit Menachem shull in Kfar Chabad at 3:30pm.
At the gathering: central Mincha service, words by Hagaon Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi Rabbi of Kfar Chabad and member of the Lubavitch Beis Din. Words of chizuk by Rabbi Baruch Vilhelm from Nahariya, the shaliach Rabbi Eliezer Shmulevitz from Ohr Akiva and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Glochovsky, deputy secretary of the Chabad Beis Din.
