Victory: with margin of 758 votes • All data

Beit Shemesh Haredi victory: by final data of the Ministry of Interior conducted yesterday (Tuesday), Moshe Aboutbul defeated Eli Cohen with a margin of 758 votes only.

After counting all the polls, Mohses Aboutbul received 19,401 votes, compared with the secular candidate Eli Cohen who received 18,643, a total of 758 votes difference. But in the final total, the number of voters increased by about 2,200 votes to Aboutbul. For Eli Cohen, the number of supporters increased by 3164 votes.

Turnout of votes soared to another peak in the split city: 76.89 %.

The data show how indeed the fear which Aboutbul projected from the beginning of the race was justified, and his victory shows how Orthodox unity was important in achieving the victory.

The gap between Aboutbul and Eli Cohen, which in the first round was 956 votes, was standing in the current round on only 758 votes in favor of Aboutbul, which are 51 percent compared to 49 percent received by Eli Cohen.

In the division to parties the Mayor gained a solid majority: Chen [Degel HaTorah] received the most votes - 5,364 compared to 4,988 in the first round and wins three seats. Shas has two seats with 5,009 votes compared to 4,835 in the first round. Agudath Israel received 3,390 votes are two seats compared to 3,514 in the first round. 'Koach' Party soared to 3,650 from 2699 and puts in two council seats. 'TOV' received 715 votes only compared with 1299 and did not pass the threshold. Supporter of the newly elected Mayor, Meir Belaish, put in a mandate with 1,767 votes.

"Beit Shemesh returns - Jewish Home" by Eli Cohen received 5,944 votes are 3 seats (5139), 5081 for Likud which are 3 seats (3822), the Atid Hair party with 4,011 votes and 2 seats (2931), Beit Shemesh Shelanu of Richard Peres with 2108 votes which are one seat (1396).
