Naftali Bennett: "The Haredim are brilliant because of Gemara"

In recent days, prior to final approval of the Knesset conscription law this week, Bennett began to prod employers to hire haredi employees and to spur haredim to the labor market . Recall the conscription law will allow Haredim aged 18-22 to leave immediately for work.

Recall, the ultra-Orthodox representatives on the committee, vehemently opposed the granting of the exemption, claiming that the fact that the young Haredim will be exempt from military service will rid the planned recruitment targets.

This morning (Sunday), Bennett tries to contact the Haredi community and try to show them their options, perhaps to try to obscure the serious allegations of ultra-Orthodox representatives.

"Interesting conversation with Yair , CEO of a secular program company who employs Haredim " - the chairman of Habayit Hayehudi, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett opened this morning, with a post to his Facebook page.

Bennett cited what he said in his conversation to Yair, secular employer of haredim: "I've just finished a conversation with Yair. The man is secular and a few years ago he founded a successful software company that today employs about 40 ultra-Orthodox. 'The employees are brilliant because of Talmud study. They learn Torah in the morning before work, and in the evening, after work. They are quick thinkers with a very high work ethic.

"'We have to recognize their special needs: a half-hour midday prayer and a preference not to work during the intermediate and all Jewish Holidays, but are negligible in relation to their strengths. They are careful not to waste time on idle conversations in the hallway. Simply work. They came to me with no formal education and grew. One of them started with a salary of NIS 7000 and now earns ₪ 40,000 as a Technological Manager.

"Their Turnover (Check and replacement) is very low compared to other Israelis. They are loyal to the company. I do not need any incentives to employ haredim. Merely training as many as possible into software."

Bennett finished the post with a plea: "Employers, listen to him."
