Race against the clock: Mitzvah dead buried

Real drama took place earlier this week on - to bring a 'dead Mitzvah' to Jewush burial and prevent its cremation.

It all began when Rabbi of the city Bad - Hamburg Bergman, Shliach Rabbi Berel Rabinowitz received information about a Jewish family in his hometown, whose relative died in Russia. Following clarification and discussion with family members, Rabbi Rabinovich learned that there is no one to take care of the body in Russia and authorities intend to burn the body, as they do frequently.

The referral came to Zaka organization in Russia which began a race against the clock to locate the position and convince the authorities to prevent the fire.

Many efforts bore fruit and the body was transferred to the Burial Society in Moscow , which is under the presidency of Russia's Chief Raabi Hgr"b Lazar and last night the deceased was brought to the Jewish burial to the ancient Jewish cemetery near Moscow.
