Satmar Rebbe has solution: "Escape to U.S. "

Satmar Rebbe briefed the students of his yeshiva in Israel: "If they try to forcefully recruit you, escape to the United States - we'll take care of you"

Satmar Rebbe has solution: "Escape to U.S. "

"If you will be forced to flee, we'll greet you with open arms," said the Satmar Rebbe to his students during a 'lechayim Tisch' held tonight (Tuesday) in the north.

The Rebbe held a lechayim Tisch at tomb of Rabbi Akiva in Tiberias, as part of his journey to the Holy Places. The Rebbe summoned about fifty yeshiva students who received mobilization orders and blessed them to be saved from the decree."

He added: "If you will have to escape, we'll greet you with open arms in the U.S. and take care of all your needs. You will not be alone," promised the Rebbe.

These words join similar things the Rebbe said on Sunday during the laying of the cornerstone for the girls' school building in Bnei Brak.

So far, the Rebbe repeated whenever possible the need to sacrifice for this and has now moved to operational lines and recommends to flee the country if necessary.

The Rebbe went out for his trip to Galilee yesterday, after a party in the hostel in the morning, during which he handed out to every avrech a check of hundreds of shekels, which Satmar benefactors gave out in their favor. The Rebbe also returned the same day a reciprocal visit to the Belzer Rebbe, who is the village of Hari"f. The Rebbes' conversation revolved around Jewish villages before the Holocaust, and current villages in the world.

From there the Rebbe continued to Safed. The lodge of the Rebbe was the residence of the benefactor Rabbi Shalom Fisher who hosts at his house all of Gedolei Yisroel.

In the evening, a 'gratitude party' was held at Tomer Devorah Halls in Safed, in honor of Satmar donors who joined the expedition. The speakers were: the mashpia Harav Hatzadik R' Elimelech Biderman and the Rebbe. The party ended close to 2:30am and the Rebbe returned to his lodge, and sat down to his books.

Throughout the day, the Rebbe excitedly spoke about the expected visit to Meiron, tomb of Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai.
The Rebbe went out at 5:00 am to the mikveh of the Ari. Shachris was held at 8:00 am at Tzanz Beis Midrash, and only those who gave a special donation for the Satmar institutions were allowed to join.

The Rebbe continued on his way to graves of tzadikim in the Old Cemetery in Safed. On the way to Meron, the large entourage accompanying the Rebbe stopped at the tomb of the Tanna Rabbi Yehudah bar Ilai and from there went to Meiron.

After reciting Tehillim, the Rebbe received notes from his followers. While already standing at the entrance to the cave, on his way to make Halake for the children of Satmar, Rabbi Meir Hirsch, chairman of Kiryat Yoel went up to the Rebbe with a note in his hand, containing the names of cancer patients. The Rebbe turned around and went back to the tomb and prayed.

Afterwards, the haircutting event took place and the large public with the Rebbe started dancing. The entourage continued to Tiberias. The Rebbe visited the grave of Rabbi Meir ba'al Hanes and Rabbi Akiva. The Rebbe left Tiberias on his way to the center of the country. He stopped over in Netanya to visit the Rebbe of Tzanz and from there will continue to Bnei Brak.
