Historical unity following vote for criminal sanctions tonight (Wednesday) at Committee for equality burden.

Senior sources in Yahadut Hatorah, report that as an indication, next week will be a historic gathering of three Council sages of Israel, Degel HaTorah , Agudath Yisrael and Shas to join forces in front of the conscription law .

Tonight conscription law was approved, including the section which imposes criminal sanctions on yeshiva students who will be drafted. But MK Moti Yogev applied for a revote and consequently there will be another vote on the issue.

According to political sources, Shaked asked to postpone the vote until reaching an agreement with the ultra-Orthodox MKs, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to bring it to a vote today.

Meeting began at eight , attended by Ofer Shelah (Yesh Atid) , Robert Iltov ( Likud Beiteinu) , Zachi Hanegbi ( Likud Beiteinu) , Omer Bar-Lev ( Avodah ) and Chairman Ayelet Shaked ( Habayit Hayehudi ) . Shelah, Iltov and Hanegbi voted for. Bar-Lev and Shaked avoided.

Haredi MKs were absent from the meeting. Thus also a meeting held this morning Shaked refused the request of MK Eliezer Stern (Hatnua), to hold a discussion on the Hesder Yeshiva section and immediately brought it to a vote. As a result Stern did not reach this evening's session.

Moti Yogev (Habayit Hayehudi) participated in the meeting despite not being a member of the committee and announced that he will submit an application to revote. Therefore a vote will be held on this section at a later date.
Committee Chairman Ayelet Shaked ( Habayit Hayehudi) , " a reality of 65 years will change in a few votes . Following intensive work in recent months, we come to the final stages of the enactment of the balanced reasonable and applicable law, which will also recruit ultra-Orthodox, also anchoring the study Torah law and integrating thousands of haredim in the work force.

"We brought the result in which in the present term haredim will be incorporated into the employment and army, and apply wont sanctions, financial and criminal penalties. Outline of the law allows the easy recruitment targets. Already today we have about 2,000 haredi recruits a year and aims will allow them to do so without a problem.

"In addition, thousands of haredim will be introduced into the work force and the military and civilian service. Law also allows the haredim to maintain their dignity and way of life in the army."
Preparing for a rally
Hgray"l Steinman, head of the Council of Torah Sages of the Degel HaTorah movement, instructed the Secretary Council Rabbi Avraham Rubinstein, to manage contacts with Agudath Yisrael and Shas to promote a united rally of Orthodox Judaism against the law , Rabbi Benny Rabinowitz, reported .

MK Moshe Gafni (Yahadut Hatorah) said: "The significance of the researcher, the ultra-Orthodox consider in terms of the disengagement process for national-religious public," he said. "This is a watershed line to mark the relationship between the Haredi community and state."

Gafni turned his criticism mainly against Habayit Hayehudi party and its leader Minister Naftali Bennett: "Where was Bennet?" Gafni asks angrily, "suddenly he tells us that everything is Bibi. What is this?

"If during my time as chairman of the Finance Committee Netanyahu would have told me to cut the yeshiva budget by NIS 300 million is it conceivable that I would cut the pretext that Netanyahu is to blame? Habayit Hayehudi does not care about the Torah world and the fault will be imposed on them just as it rests on the shoulders of the Prime Minister. "He said.
"Rally – Not a demonstration"
Rabbi Benny Rabinowitz, Hgray"l's household spokesman explains what is behind the rally plan."From the beginning the Rosh Yeshiva asked to avoid rallies and demonstrations for various reasons. Just like the Chazon Ish zt"l struggled against the law of recruiting girls. Hgray"l followed in his path, even until now avoided demonstrations.

"Avoid demonstrations have several reasons," explains Rabinowitz, "First of all it is not a subject that one can explain properly to the non observant proper public. So too the primary reason for ' stigmatizing ' the ultra-Orthodox community is due to its prosperity and prosperity which arouse fear in the enemies of the ultra-Orthodox. Now, if we demonstrate powerfully, will it not arouse even greater fear? Demonstrations do not only bring benefits but they even may be harmful.

"Therefore had they only imposed economic sanctions," says Rabinowitz, "even though they may cause damage, the Rosh Yeshiva would not have ordered the call for a mass rally, but criminal sanctions has an element of blasphemy - is it possible that Torah study will constitute a criminal offense ? It is our duty to protest blasphemy but the rally is defined as a prayer rally, not a demonstration. We will do everything so that it will be held in cooperation with all circles and bring about a Kiddush Hashem and heaven forbid produce the contrary. "

Concerning the anger focused against the Prime Minister, Rabinowitz explains: "Rosh Yeshiva feels that the Prime Minister betrayed his loyalty. There were ambiguous messages transferred from Netanyahu under which there will be no criminal sanctions. Because of this so far there has been a degree of dialogue. But now it turns out amazingly that the prime minister simply led us astray. "
