Satmar Rebbe: I came to fight against the recruitment

Excitement and confusion in the ranks of the Eideh Charedi: The Satmar Rebbe separated from his followers tonight (Tuesday) on his way to Israel, following therupture of Jerusalem.

Due to the heavy snow, the Rebbe's flight was postponed approximately by two hours and is expected to board the plane at ten Israeli time.

Rebbe will land tomorrow morning at ten-thirty at Ben Gurion Airport and the Satmar community leaders will welcome him at the airport. From there he will resort to prayer at a villa resort in Savion .

Before leaving the airport the Rebbe said goodbye to the great yeshiva students in Kiryat Yoel of Satmar , where he is also the Rosh Yeshiva.

Rebbe delivered a brief speech to the students, asking them that they would pray that his visit to Israel bear fruit.

During his remarks Satmar Rebbe mentioned the conscription law, told the students about it and asked them to pray that the decree be canceled. Thus he also stated that one of the goals of the trip is to strengthen the fight against the recruitment decree.
"We are going to a heavy and persistent war," he said, "against anyone who is willing to compromise on the subject of learning Torah yeshiva students and kollel students. Those who talk about compromise and pragmatism are burying it all in Israel and the Torah world. The only way is to fight devotion to the decree canceled altogether. "

Before parting, the Rebbe offered a serious difficulty taught at the yeshiva and told students: that upon his return he would be happy to get the answers which arise in their minds, to resolve the difficulty.
Struggle in the Eideh
Main class will be held in honor of the Rebbe tomorrow night in the Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication of a building in Jerusalem Talmud Torah .

According to the plan are expected to speak at the event, Dayan Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Satmar, Av Beit Din of the Eideh , Rabbi Yitzhak Tuvia Weiss and Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch who served until his resignation Av as Ab"d of the Eideh, Satmar Rebbe will bear the keynote address.

But so far Rab"d refused to confirm his participation at the event .

In the last hours frantic efforts are being made to reach a settlement.

Last effort, a letter was sent to Arb"d signed by all members of Badatz led by Gab"d Hgri"t Weiss, and calling for him to return to his resignation and return to court.

Management of the Eideh Charedi, are trying to do everything to bring the life back to normal. The letter comes after a series of people made a pilgrimage to Rab"d to work things out and not let the ball continue to roll in snow. Rab"d has not yet commented.
