Sanz: The boy who fell from the fourth floor – hugged his first daughter

Great joy for Sanz Hasidism: The youngest son of the Rebbe of Sanz, Rabbi Meir Meshulam Halberstam, who married five years ago with the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Eliyahu Unsdorfer Ab"d in Montreal, gave birth to his first daughter.

Joy amongst Hasidism was particularly great, since all Chassidim remember the hard times in which the Rebbe's son fell from the fourth floor at age three, and was in critical condition for a long time. Miraculously he managed to recover and rebuild. While celebrating the joy of the Bar Mitzvah and the joy of marriage, there was great excitement in all walks of Hasidism, and now with the birth of his eldest daughter, the excitement overwhelms the followers especially the older ones.

At the Bar Mitzvah, the Rebbe said: "I remember the difficult times and all we went through, and we must thank Hashem for all His kindness. Doctors and heads of department came from Tel Hashomer who treated the Bar Mitzvah boy when he fell 11 years ago, and the doctors whispered behind my back that he only has a few hours left… therefore I called them today to witness the hand of Hashem."

This coming Shabbos the Hasidim will gather in Netanya to celebrate the simcha of the mass Kiddush.
