Kashrus storm in Poland : the party in charge of slaughter in the country stated in an official letter that the cattle sent for slaughter will be stunned .

Charge of the slaughter, from the Chief Rabbi of Poland Michael Alper sent a letter to the chief veterinarian in November 2013, which sought approval for slaughter of 250 head of cattle .

Alper promised in his letter that animals will be electrocuted before slaughter, as required by law in Poland.

The letter was leaked to the media in the country and caused great confusion: It is hypothesized that the content of the letter is true, and this undermines the training that exists between the Jewish community in Poland and the authorities.

Local channel also conducted research which revealed that despite the legal prohibition operates Poland's chief rabbi secretly three slaughterhouses, slaughterer by halacha and against the law.

Rabbi Michael Shudrich , Chief Rabbi of Poland decided to delay the charge of the slaughter , supposedly stated an incorrect statement and broke the law .

Six months ago Poland banned slaughtering correctly, the Chief Rabbi of Poland, Rabbi Michael Shudrich considered at the time to resign and said so to the media, "We are still under the impression of a very difficult decision, it is a scandal unprecedented throwback to the dark days in the history of Poland . I'm reviewing the measures, including the decision to quit my job immediately, "he said .
