In the last minutes a new letter was distributed by Harav Pinto to his disciples, in the letter the Rav refers to the latest development yesterday, the Attorney General's decision to indict in the Brigadier General Bracha affair.
The letter opens with sharp words about the troubles and tribulations undergone by every Jew: "We, the Jewish people, sons of Avraham Avinu father of the nation, were destined to pass in this world ten existential trials. Our lives give us countless trials, some existential, and some day to day which are with us every step of the way.
"The existential trials," says the rabbi, "the more difficult, are when a person feels that all the roads are blocked to him, and wherever he turns G-d does not help him, G-d forbid."
Then the Rav starts referring specifically to the last affair: "In the past five years we were destined to deal with a daily existential trial. Unbearable days passed, and if not for Hakadosh Baruch Hu who was with us every step of the way and the rights of our holy ancestors, we would have given up.
"It is not yet time to tell all the suffering for us and our families, but the time will come to tell things which will remain for the last generation. It is absolutely horrifying to hear all the events that have passed on us, but it is still not time to detail everything."
"These days, the trial has become more difficult, and the trials placed before us are more significant and more difficult, but the spirit and eternity was stronger than these. We will overcome them, please G-d, and the end of truth is to come out and justify the righteous."
"In this letter I want to call on you, my dear beloved, to withstand the trials and do everything to strengthen from them. One who trusts in G-d will be surrounded by chessed, the harder the trials are becoming, we need to cleave to the Almighty, and remove side calculations.
"Let us all fortify ourselves, beloved brothers and friends, to celebrate and be happy during the month of Adar which is capable of salvation, as we know and believe that the real joy is spiritual and pure. One who cleaves to spiritual joy, with observance of Mitzvos and love of kindness, is privileged to see the salvation of Hashem with his own eyes.
The Rabbi also relates to the question of the existence of institutions at trying times, in light of the developments: "Let me please add a solemn promise: our home and holy places will be open to any applicant, whatever his status and condition may be." Shuva Israel" is the yeshiva of the people of Israel, and is open to each and every one of our people! We were privileged to be the scion and continuing to families who carved the flag of giving each creature created without checking into him, and we see its our eternal and deep right and duty. Therefore, we will continue to be friendly and give support to any applicant and needy, for that is our life.
"Our Batei Midrash, our hospices and schools operated by us throughout the world, will continue to embrace all those needing their services, even those that outside society eluded them. "Shuva Israel" will give them an honored position, and what they seek with true love, love of Israel."
The Rav also promises: "We have no doubt, and we are confident that all the bad rumors circulating in the streets will not drop a hair of our heads down, and we shall BS"D come out of this matter reinforced and stronger.
"My brothers and friends, who are engaging in the sacred work to strengthen our yeshivos and chessed organizations, do everything to strengthen and expand the holy organizations, and thanks to our holy ancestors the right of chessed and teaching of Torah will be our shield."
The Rav seals the letter with a request from his students to refrain from loshon hora and gossip, and blesses them with strength and peace.
The letter was published as part of the daily email sent by the Rabbi to his supporters.
