In recent years police station seized hundreds of weapons held illegally by residents living in settlements of the Sharon: pistols, rifles and explosive devices are just some of a long list.

Yesterday (Wednesday), police spotted a gun, but this time it turns out the gun was a gift bestowed by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, to a man who apparently defended his homeland.

Yesterday evening police of the Kedma station spotted a vehicle which aroused their suspicion while driving on the streets of Kfar Kassem.

The police ordered the driver to stop, and after a short search of the vehicle they found a gun with an engraving. The gun was given to one of the officers who translated the text: "Gift of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein for those who defended their homeland."

Despite the personal dedication the gun was captured and the four occupants of the vehicle were taken to the station for questioning, at the end of which one was arrested.
