Jews who traveled by train to Belgium, were shocked to hear the train's public address system announcing: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are approaching the Auschwitz station. Jews are asked to get off at the station and take a brief shower."

JTA news website which exposed the story yesterday (Wednesday), reveals that the incident occurred two weeks ago on January 31 on the way to the capital city of Brussels. On the train there were Jews from Antwerp, who are common passengers, and they turned in anger and astonishment to the train crew, who claimed that a group of youths took over the PA system.

Jewish passengers who were amazed immediately contacted upon their arrival to Brussels the company that operates the trains. Indeed, the company that operates the railway SNCB, apologized and immediately filed a complaint with the local police.

The event was also reported to a Jewish lawyer from the legislature of Brussels, Viviena Teitelbaum.

It turns out that this is not the first anti-Semitic incident that occurred this railway line, and that a similar incident occurred in 2012 on that a rail line when the PA system announced before the arrival at one of the stations: "Welcome to the train makes its way to Auschwitz. All Jews are asked to get off at Buchenwald."

At the time, Jews turned to the railway administration and the police, and then the company's claim was that this was a prank by youngsters, who were never caught.
