170 haredi soldiers were sworn in on Thursday evening, to the Nahal Haredi.
On Thursday afternoon, while hundreds protested across the country in protest against the arrest of the yeshiva student and conscription law, about 170 haredi soldiers were sworn in at the base of the Jordan Valley Fight Infantry , currently used for training soldiers of Nahal Haredi ( Netzach Yehuda ) .
This is the largest circulation sworn at the base till today.
The recruits were joined by hundreds of family members who came in five buses from Jerusalem and other Orthodox concentrations, while passing by hundreds of protesters who tried to block the entrance to the capital to protest the draft.
Rabbi Yitzchak Bar-Haim , associations Nahal Haredi , who accompanied the soldiers who were sworn in says that " these two conflicting events , demonstrations, on the one hand and swearing-in ceremony of the soldiers on the other side , illustrate best what we are , and what the army top brass say already year if will make the recruiting ultra-Orthodox religious war then no Orthodox will mobilize to it, and there will be demonstrations , but if there is dialogue and construction of recruiting systems together , we see great recruiting of young Haredim who are not suitable to sit and learn at the yeshivas, as we saw today. "
