Jerusalem District Attorney filed today (Wednesday) in the District Court an indictment against Anas AWISAT, Basel Abidat, Ahmed Srour and Amr Abdu, Jebel Mukabbir neighborhood residents, aged 19 to 21, in respect of conspiracy to aid the enemy in wartime.

According to the indictment, beginning in December 2013 Awisat and Abidat decided to carry out a terrorist attack against Israelis in Jerusalem.

They decided to carry out the attack in a banquet hall in Jerusalem, in order to kill the largest possible number of Jews. Awisat proposed to carry out the attack in the halls of Nod Jerusalem in Bayit Vegan in Jerusalem, where he worked for a short time before. He offered to carry out the attack in it because he knew that every event between 800 and -1500 participants are welcome.

Awisat and Abidat planned to carry out a shooting attack and get to the hall dressed as orthodox when they enter the main entrance, along with invited guests.

In order to promote their plan, they began to be interested in acquiring weapons for the attack. In addition, they decided that the sub -type weapons - machine gun "mini Uzi" are suitable for the attack because of their small size on the one hand , facilitate the concealment , and because of the effectiveness of the other , and shooting ability of this weapon to kill large numbers of people . For the purchase of weapons, they turned to an arms dealer in the Palestinian Authority and inquired him if he could get them both these weapons.

Merchant told them that the price for the two subs - machine gun "mini Uzi" is $ 50,000. In addition the merchant noted that once provided to him the amount, he would try to get them the weapons within a week. Then Awisat and Abidat met with the merchant twice and told him that they had not yet raised the amount of money.

In mid- December 2013 the two recruited Ahmad Srour for the shooting attack with them. Srour even said that he has NIS 15,000, which he is ready to invest in the purchase of weapons for the attack. Immediately following the issuance of Srour, the three drove to the halls, parked nearby and went on foot to explore the room closely. The three examined the main entrance to the wedding hall and the employee entrance. In early January 2014, the two recruited Amr Abdu for the shooting attack with them. The number of meetings held between Awisat, Abidat and Abdu, they decided that it is better that all three will make the attack so they could shoot and injure large numbers of people.

Detention was extended until the end of proceedings.
