Court: yeshiva students whose enlistment was postponed will not be budgeted

Dramatic decision , issued today (Tuesday ) afternoon decided a panel of nine Supreme Court justices , a majority of eight against one, to issue an injunction prohibiting the state budget to the yeshiva students , rejected the date of enlistment .

Following the decision, the Minister of Finance Yair Lapid announced that he ordered the Finance Ministry to immediately stop all payments to yeshivas whose students do not serve in the IDF.

The order is valid for students aged 18 to 20 , who received mobilization orders at different dates from August 2013 and lined up at the recruitment center , due to the decisions of the Minister of Defense Moshe ( Bogie) Ya'alon to postpone the stabilization , because " the question of the authority which is questionable " .

Interim order refers to the transfer of funds made in accordance with the criteria for distribution of funds for the support of the Ministry of Education and is set up as of 03/31/2014 .

The order given by the Supreme Court refers to students of religious institutions, born in 1994, 1995 and the first half of 1996. Decision, Judge Neal Hendel only opposed it, was made in the petitions Hiddush and equality forum burden requiring recruit of yeshiva students and budgeting graduated with the expiration of the Tal Law.

Judges in their decision hint that if not completed conscription law may soon enforce consider funding the Yeshiva : "The new legislation is not completed regarding Yeshiva consider raising the required result ," the judges wrote.
