Maran Testament does not speak to the hearts of the Sephardic electorate: Shas continues to deteriorate in the polls and is now located on seven seats - according to a survey published on the Knesset Channel and was conducted by Palance.
Current fall is part of a continuing trend: Last week Shas had eight seats. This suggests a clear line, which probably stems from the traditional audience - Sephardic does not find Shas a political home worth in the post withdrawal of Harav Ovadia Yosef zt"l.
Shas officials are aware of the problems and are already beginning to find a solution: Journalist Yair Ettinger, Haaretz reported recently that the party has hired a consulting firm to examine the "renewal process." Main dilemma is whether the party turn directions Orthodox intention to establish itself in the Torah crowd - Sephardic or aspires to make a traditional - Israeli party at all and try to bite into the votes of the Likud party and Habayit Hayehudi.
Ashkenazi Yahadut Hatorah party actually retains its strength and standing on seven seats.
If the Likud and Yisrael Beitenu jointly run in the coming elections, they will be about 30 seats. The election of the new Avodah chairman Yitzchak Herzog (Labor) , and scavenging of Shelly Yachimovitch proves herself now and she is about 19 seats .
According to the survey, a last direct confrontation between the Prime Minister Naftali Bennett did only good: Habayit Hayehudi is getting stronger and stands at 17 seats. It is important to note that the survey started preparing yesterday (Wednesday) at 16:00 pm and ended on the morning of Thursday, the conflict and Bennett's apology definitely influenced the results.
