חדשות 2

Raphael Yitzchak Izak Gross, age five, regained consciousness and breathing on his own, his parents are at his bedside, and he communicates with them, Schneider Children's Medical Center reported.

Yitzchak's parents let him lick lollipop on which he recited a bracha at the request of his parents. The parents would like to thank Am Yisrael for the prayers and support, and wish to continue to pray for the brothers to full health.

Condition of his brother Michael, aged 7 is unchanged and is still sedated. Children are in cardiothoracic intensive care.

Yesterday Medical staff at Schneider disconnected the ECMO machine that runs the heart and lung, from Chaim Michael Gross age 7, one day after removing it from his brother five year old Rafael Yitzchak.

A family member said that we must not forget that both of them are still in critical condition and in need of many prayers for their recovery.

Schneider Children's Medical Center said yesterday: The child, Michael, age 7 was disconnected today successfully from the ECMO which replaces the activity of the heart and lungs, his heart returned to function without vitro support. Child is still sedated and medicated and in stable condition. His brother Yitzchak age 5 was disconnected yesterday from the ECMO and is still sedated. The two brothers are ICU cardiothoracic patients.

A week ago on Monday a disaster occurred in Givat `Mordechai, Jerusalem. Two days after the exterminator visited their home after parents complained about worms in their closet and he put toxins into the room and closed the door, the family did not feel well and turned to Terem and were sent home after receiving medical treatment.

Resuscitation was performed on the two daughters, but Yael did not survive and died even at home, and her sister Avigail was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city and died within a few hours. Both brothers aged five and seven, were admitted in serious condition and were transferred to Schneider children's hospital in Petah Tikva.

Dr. Efrat Bron Harlev from Schneider Hospital said: "There is no anti- venom; time will tell if we can save them. We hope that the body will be able to recover after the toxin activity stops. It is not a simple matter. It requires a lot of skill. "
"The poison the exterminator used and harmed the Gross girls is a dangerous poison and should not be used," said Dr. Moshe Kahn to B'Chadrei Charedim. Phosphine material is phosphor hydrogen gas. "It is colorless altogether," says Kahn, "and has no smell. But they add it a smell of bad fish, sourced by the Disophine gas added to it to help identify the event of a leak and allow defending herself. It is possible that is why the family members mistakenly believed they ate food out of order".

Exterminator, in his 70s was arrested, interrogated and brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court where he was remanded for a day and then released to house arrest.

Continue to pray for the children Chaim Michael Shlomo and Rafael Yitzchak Izak ben Michal.
