International Holocaust Remembrance Day and it seems that anti-Semitism is still here: another case of violence against the Orthodox Union City District Hudson in New Jersey, United States.

Orthodox community shocked: an avrech on his way to study last night (Monday) was attacked by three young men; they attacked him and beat him brutally, laughed and ran away when the scholar remains lying on the ground bleeding.

The incident occurred on 34th Street a block away from the Midrash, the scholar who was on his way to study noticed three young men who came from the opposite direction. When they came near the startled young man was attacked and beaten on his head , the scholar fell to the floor , the youngsters burst out laughing and continued to kick him and ran away laughing . When the scholar tried to recover and looked for his glasses which had been smashed, he noticed he was bleeding from his head.

Yaakov David Rosenberg EMT Union City said: "I came to study and suddenly I see the scholar sitting slumped with his head on the table with blood stains on his shirt and he was bleeding from his head. I rushed to give him first aid, and I noticed a deep cut on his head. Yeshiva student told me he was beaten by three young who did not even ask for his wallet and only laughed and kicked him, I realized it was the case Knock - out case again. I immediately alerted the police who questioned the young scholar.

He went on to say: "As the scholar could not see the faces of young people because of the darkness, the police decided to go house to house and check the security cameras. Yeshiva student was taken to hospital and needed stitches in his head. Rosenberg added that he lived in Union City for 28 years and doesn’t remember a case of violence between Jews and non-Jews: "We live here in harmony with the Gentiles."
