Prayers and chizuk rallies in the Torah world after the disaster of pesticide in Jerusalem, where the toddlers Avigail and Yael Gross, A"H, passed away and two other children, Michael (6) and Yitzchak (5) Gross, were seriously injured.

The family is encouraged that the children who are still hospitalized at Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva, responded to the family by movements. Yitzchak even opened his eyes and was able to communicate with doctors. "The two children responded with gestures and pressed our hands," said the father, Rabbi Shimon Gross.

During Shabbos doctors decreased the anesthetic dose of the child hooked up to the ECMO machine which replaces the cardiac activity.

On Saturday night, there was a series of events and rallies. Among others many gathered in the 'Yotzei Hevron' shull, Bnei Brak, where rabbis called for soul searching.

Masses of yeshiva students and bnei Torah from Bnei Brak attended the event which was addressed by Hagaon Rabbi Zvi Pertzovitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Mir Brachfeld.

Constant minyanim are being held at the Western Wall by dozens of avreichim.

On Friday morning, at sunrise, a central prayer was held and dozens of books of Tehillim were said at the Kotel for the recovery of the children.

The Belzer Rebbe spoke at the Tisch on Friday Night, held to mark the yahrtzeit of his grandfather Mahar"i of Belz Rebbe zt"l. The Rebbe entered very late, and the Tisch took about half an hour. He concluded by quoting an excerpt from the Ohr Hachaim on this week's parsha on the verse that refers to 'The first of your crops of your land you shall bring to the home of the L-rd your G-d" – which refers to the death of infants. "Raising sons to Torah and Mitzvos is done by adding holiness and purity," he said.

The Vizhnitzer Rebbe spoke about the incident during shalosh seudos on Shabbos and said: "Klal Yisroel is suffering tragedies in recent times which are hard and chilling, in Monsey and Jerusalem. This is a very difficult time. We must strengthen bein adam lachaveiro and increase the love between us." The meal ended with the song "Keli, keli lama azavtani" (My G-d, why have You forsaken me)

The Admor of Tzanz spoke about the incident during shalosh seudos on Shabbos and asked his followers to get stronger and accept upon themselves good decisions.

The names for prayer: Chaim Michael Shlomo ben Michal and Rafael Yitzchak Eizik ben Michal, for refuah sheleima.

Police are investigating

Police continue the investigation into the pesticide disaster in which the toddlers Avigail and Yael Gross, A"H, passed away and two other children, Michael (6) and Yitzchak (5) Gross, were seriously injured.

Meanwhile, as part of the investigation of the incident, the Ministry of Health or police may initiate questioning the emergency clinic staff of "Terem", to determine their part in the disaster and if they behaved carelessly.

The mother, Michal, claims that she turned to the clinic after the family felt bad and told the medical staff at the clinic that pest extermination was done in the family home, but the clinic reject the accusation, claiming that the family has stated that the source of the symptoms was spoiled components at dinner.

In fact, it is not clear if it was possible to save the girls if they were directed to emergency as there is no material that contradicts the toxin. The toxic material weakens the heart, which impairs the blood flow and leads to further system collapses.

It is possible that if there would have been an early diagnosis it was possible to connect the girls to the ECMO machine which replaces the activity of the heart and lungs. But at Shaare Zedek, where the children were taken, there is no such machine and there is doubt if it was possible to connect the toddlers could have been connected to the machine on time.
