Man o chessed from Lelov who managed "Hebron Yeshiva"

Baruch Dayan Haemes: On Friday night Hrh"ch Rabbi Shmuel Filmer, important and distinguished Lelov chassid and staff member of the Hebron Yeshiva, passed away at the age of 49.

In recent years, he became gravely ill and suffered anguish - but accepted them bravely and with love.

The deceased was born in Bnei Brak on 3rd Iyar תשכ"ד to his parents – Hrh"ch Rabbi Aharon Filmer and his mother Chana. He was close during his youth to Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Lelov zt"l , and later his son, Rabbi Shimon Lelov zt"l and the Rebbe – with whom he was involved in bonds of love until his last moments .

He married his wife, daughter of Rabbi Mordechai Michael Epstein z"l.

For years he was a board member of the Hebron Yeshiva in Jerusalem Givat Mordechai , where he ran the yeshiva along with his colleagues with real devotion , and endeared himself to all the heads of the yeshiva and its students .

Known as a tremendous man of chessed in his soul and body, his friends say that everyone who approached him for help answered by him immediately.
Survived by honest blessed generation: sons, husbands and grandchildren who continue his career.

The funeral left his home in the evening at 22:00 from 5 Ganei Gad Street through the Lelover Beit Midrash to the cemetery in Petah Tikva where he was laid to rest.
