Shuvu Banim institutions of Breslov are currently at a critical time, following a court ruling last week, ostensibly to bring refreshment and raising the community on a new track after the last big upheaval in recent times.
A police raid on the offices of the institutions at the time, and bringing the issue before the Jerusalem District Court, the Court upheld the police to appoint Mr. Yissachar Bar-Hillel, Temporary Director of the NGO, institutions Breslov. At this point, his mandate was limited institutions represent workers, but he was not given access to the register. Almost everything he asked Bar-Hillel perform, it is required to get her court approval.
It's no secret that the crisis that struck the community, made her within reputational damage also brought economic damage. Standing orders of generosities were canceled, a fund-raising ceased completely. Fund and budgets dwindled and workers received only part of their wages, and that, after a delay of many months.
Meanwhile, Rabbi Eliezer Berland appointed a committee of five, which aims to manage especially the Talmud Torah and school for girls.
Amongst parishioners prevailed serious concern that the court might end up completely dismantle the organization in respect of irregularities discovered during the police investigation. The association hired the services of one of Israel's top lawyer to represent them in later discussions.
Evidence of the economic hardships of the institutions can learn from the past week the electricity was cut off in the Talmud Torah, following a debt of NIS 20,000 unpaid. That comes to help the story, was actually the lawyer hired by the institutions. He spoke with IEC management, while the management representative came to his office, to beg them to plow the power supply. The lawyer explained that he undertakes that if within a month and a half is not repaid the debt, he is willing to pay for it out of his own pocket. Company accepted the plea and power is connected again.
In a hearing held last week, there was a positive turnaround, which released a sigh of relief in the management of the institutions. The court held that the association will not be dismantled, but Bar-Hillel appointed as liquidator for the purpose of rehabilitation, i.e., it gets broad powers that include free access to the register, that will allow him to pay the salaries of the employees and all expenditure is required, no compel rely on the kindness of the court, for each Request elementary. The Court stressed in its decision that you cannot ignore the suffering and misery of tens of family's broken livelihoods, because they beholden to the institutions and that business must operate fluently as possible.
Another judge determined that there is no escaping a similar decision in connection with other organizations operating in the name of Shuvu Banim. Apparently, under the umbrella of the community, were no less than sixty-eight associations, different and strange names, through which canvassed the people of Israel to the needs of the community and its appendices. The judge made it clear that it will soon issue an order similar to, give the organizations' management powers additional to the Bar-Hillel, and thus impose order to enable institutions to the essential recovery following acute situation they find themselves. In fact we can say that Bar-Hillel now serves as replacement of Nachman, Hgr"e's son. Powers of Berland - previously won the high hand of the institutions - have been cut, and are almost completely neutralized.
The police representative also expressed during the discussion the consent that Bar Hillel will take over the reins, and said that she knows closely several associations famous court declared them as I needed to dismantle rehabilitation needs and continue to run at full speed and productivity, despite the new legal status.
Breslov does not hide their satisfaction with the move, and express the hope that the community will rise again on the road, and will succeed in picking up the pieces and go on a new path.
