Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived this morning (Thursday) for a secret visit to Amman for talks with King Abdullah, the palace in Jordan issued a report.

They discussed the development of the peace process with the Palestinians, and the purpose of the meeting was under the message, "achieve tangible progress stands on the realization aspirations of the Palestinian people, and protects at the same time, the interests of Jordanians affected by the final status negotiations, especially at a critical stage which is the negotiations between Palestinian and Israeli sponsored by the United States of America."

Jordanian News Agency reported that King Abdullah is seeking to intervene and lead to a solution to the Palestinian people while protecting the interests of Jordan in discussions towards the sides.

Last week, Prime Minister Abdullah Mansour told his parliament that during the meeting of the Secretary of State in Jordan, King Abdullah demanded to solve the problem of the Palestinian refugees in his country before submitting a framework agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

Jordanian officials are worried that a permanent settlement may harm the interests of Jordan. Former Jordanian Prime Minister Marouf Albh'it , considered close to the Jordanian royal court said that "at the present time to reach a settlement for the Palestinians is not good and Jordan should be a major partner in the negotiations to ensure the interests of the Palestinians."
