Will an appeal on the decision for repeated elections in Beit Shemesh be accepted? Next week, twenty-second Shvat at 9:00 am, the Supreme Court will consider the requests to appeal the decision of the administrative court, for repeated elections in Beit Shemesh.

The hearing on the request will be held by a panel of three judges, which will include according to plans the President of the Supreme Court Asher Gronis, and judges Elyakim Rubinstein and Uzi Fogelman.

Late last month, the court invalidated the election results following forges and irregularities which were discovered.

Last week on Thursday, the mayor Moshe Abutbul and acting mayor Meir Belaish filed requests for an appeal.

An ad was published in recent days by the 'Eida Haredis' in Beit Shemesh, which to some extent shuffles the cards. It said that the instruction of the Av Beis Din and the Badatz as well as community leaders, "We express our protest and reveal our opinion, that the Haredi parties do not represent Haredi Jewry faithfully, and thousands of Haredim in Beit Shemesh listen to Da'as Torah, and they and their families do not participate in the elections for mayor and city council".
