Kashrus fraud - also in pharmaceuticals and mouthwash

Pharmaceutical industry which is not designed for chewing or for sucking was not to date usually with kashrus makers, and therefore kashrus fraud was not reported in this area.

But there are exceptions to the above plane.

According to reports from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, because of complaints received indicate that mediwise company sells drugs specifying misleading kashrus "under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel," both on the product packaging and on the company website. Rabbinate made it clear that the company's products have not received permission from the Import Department Chief Rabbinate of Israel, and the use of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel are not done properly and is not misleading.

Products caught are meth throat, Harfsin and Aftrin, used for throat infections, mouth and more.

It was also reported that recently caught in the packaging of Listerine mouthwash brand, imported by Einstein Company Contact Import and Trade Ltd from Bnei Brak, as with kosher symbol of Chug Chatam Sofer Petah Tikva without the approval of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. It was reported from this body that they were not given kashrus for this product.
