Why did Satmar Rebbe sit in middle of the chuppa?

Loftiest moments of a wedding, during the wedding ceremony are well known. In the Zohar it says, the fathers of the couple and their parents, come from the world to come. This is why many of Geodlei Yisrael, would stand during the ceremony with tremendous enthusiasm and awe, a kind of awe, for the fathers - guests. The Rebbe of Satmar, keeps this practice at all canopies in which he participates.

But last week, departed from custom and the pictures which were published, it shows the Rebbe sitting beside the Skulan Rebbe.

What actually happened?

Well, the Satmar Rebbe came to participate in the simcha of his brother in law- Hagaon Rabbi Menachem Rarnstar Rosh Yeshiva Vizhnitz who married off his grandson, a granddaughter of the Skulan Rebbe. Satmar Rebbe participated in honor of his brother in law at the chuppa.

When the Satmar Rebbe was about to go up on the chuppa, he noticed the Skulan Rebbe sitting down due to weakness. The gabbaim of the Skulan Rebbe turned to the Satmar Rebbe and offered him to sit next to the Skulan Rebbe, but the Satmar Rebbe who stands during chuppas continued to stand.

When the Skulan Rebbe saw this he decided to get up and stand next to the Satmar Rebbe. It didn’t end here. The Satmar Rebbe who knew the reason behind his sitting, asked him to sit down and when the Skulan Rebbe objected due to the Satmar Rebbe's honor, the Satmar Rebbe decided to go against his usual custom and sat down at the chuppa in order not to cause the elderly Rebbe weakness.
