Dancing on blood: "joy at loss of Hashem's hater"

Not only at the meeting of the evacuates: in the streets of Mea Shearim, ads of jubilation were published during the afternoon (Sunday) about the demise of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon z"l.

The ad reads: "Orthodox Jewry in Israel and the whole world is 'happy' about the loss of Hashem's hater, the infidel Ariel Sharon yimach shemo vezichro, when the wicked are lost – there is joy".

The ad also includes a chapter in Hilchos Tshuva of the Rambam: "And these are the ones who do not have a share in the next world..." and a quote from Shulchan Aruch Yore Dea: "All those who withdraw from the ways of the public and those are the people who removed the yoke of the commandments from themselves and are not included in Klal Yisrael..."

At the bottom of the ad it states that a similar proclamation was published for the first time during the lifetime of R' Amram Bloi zt"l – on Menachem Av 5731, when "the infamous member of the house of heretics", Iche Meir Levin z"l, leader of Agudath Israel and the first Minister of Welfare in the Israeli government in the provisional government and the first three governments, passed away.

Earlier in the day, following various reports on the manifestations of joy following the death of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon z"l, Public Security Minister MK Yitzhak Aharonovitz noted: "This is disgraceful, I do not mean to ignore this issue." He further added: "I asked the police to open an investigation and address the issue quickly and professionally. I see such criminal behavior seriously, it is unacceptable that such expressions of joy will be published and will contribute to a split and radicalization among the nation."

As published in Behadrey Haredim this morning, an ad published at the Torat Chaim Yeshiva in Yad Binyamin, quoted verses relating to the customs of mourning of "mumarim" and it is written "in the name of G-d of the world": "A hearty Mazal Tov on the occasion of the death of Ariel Sharon." Sharon was later named a "mumar" and verses that speak of mourning for people like him were quoted, and a call not to mourn his death.

Another ad posted on the bulletin board of the yeshiva at the weekend, entitled "All rays of the wicked I shall break off" and called the former prime minister a "rasha", saying that one can not forget and forgive his sins.
The Torat Chaim Yeshiva, headed by Rabbi Shmuel Tal, was established in the settlement of Neve Dekalim before the disengagement from Gush Katif. The Yeshiva also was evacuated and transferred to Yad Binyamin.
