Terror in Jerusalem: Orthodox man stabbed on Shabbos

On Haneviim Street at noon on Shabbos a man in his 30s was stabbed in the upper body and was seriously wounded, medical personnel from MDA and thHatzalah gave him primary health care, and he was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city.

Yosef Amar, Hatzalah, said: "When I reached the scene I gave primary health care to the Haredi man around age 30, who was stabbed in the neck, after initial treatment we transferred him to hospital. Citizens told us that the stabber is likely a young man of Arab appearance, who fled the scene after the stabbing. Circumstances of the incident reviewed by the police opened searches for the stabber. "

Magen David Adom paramedic, Yitzchak Assaraf, says that at 16:01 Jerusalem police received a report of a stabbing incident on Haneviim Street in the capital, "in less than twenty seconds we arrived, we found a religious man stabbed on the upper body and bleeding, looking upset and frightened by the event. He was evacuated by mobile intensive care unit to Shaare Zedek in mild to moderate condition. According to him, it is not clear what the backround to the incident is."

Jerusalem police said that the background is a nationalistic stabbing, and that attacker fled toward Route 1. Police began to search for him, and began an intensive investigation to locate the perpetrator.

Please pray for Aharon Yosef ben Feige Bluma.
