Gedolei Yisrael blessed - and the community split

First Published: After the split of the Knesset Yitzchak yeshiva in Chadera and opening of yeshivas Torah Betifarta in Ashdod, Lithuanian split begins to influence the synagogues.

It happened the last two weeks in Brachfeld in Modi'in Illit: Community Synagogue in the center of the neighborhood, collectorship and founder and rabbi of the community was one of the activists and supporters of the "Bnei Torah" (which ran in Modi'in Illit and put two representatives AP), divided two - as former members of the synagogue built a new synagogue only on Shabbos and is called the Ohel Torah, (were thought to give the name to the outgoing Knesset Ahavat Torah, but after thinking gave the name Ohel Torah AP)

According to dissidents, the gabay spoke against Gedolei Yisrael, and therefore decided to move. Another dissident said that before the decision went to the home of Hgray"l Steinman and Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and received the blessing for the move.

The new synagogue currently located in the women's section of the Alexander shul. Last Friday, Parashat Bo, spoke neighborhood rabbi Rabbi Yisrael Zicherman to strengthen the newly established community.
Overall dozens of members withdrew from Ahvas Torah. Not everyone left and some members dispersed in other shuls. The shul was left in place by the strength of new members who came to strengthen him.

Retired community member said in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim : "It's just shocking that there are people who speak publicly against Gedolim."

One member of the shul said he does not belong to either party. He remains in the old shul because that is what he is used to. Conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim he said: "It is a great sadness that after a long period we have to deal with such divisions, it's just nonsensical division. Truth is there is no division amongst members so I do not understand what the fuss is about and if so destined that way."
