City of Torah and shots: shots were fired on Friday during a mass brawl in Kiryat Herzog in Bnei Brak.

Last Thursday, a fight broke out between two young people, from crime families in the city of Bnei Brak.

Following the fight, a clash broke out between the families on Zvi Herling Street in Kiryat Herzog, during the conflict several shots were fired into the air. There were no casualties.

Large police forces reached the scene, where they arrested seven suspects. Police of the Dan District decided to put an end to conflicts at the place and arrested eight other suspects.

Dan District Police Commander, Commander Shimon Lavie says in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim: "After years when criminal families did what they wanted, it's time to take care of them too. Upon arrest of the suspects, iron chains, knives, clubs and other weapons of destruction were found in their home. We will work to dismantle the nucleus and prosecute the suspects."

The background to the conflict is a protracted struggle between the crime family of 'the redheads' and the Hajani family from the neighborhood of Pardes Katz.

"We will torpedo the violence in the area, and will not let them exist any longer," says Lavie emphatically.

Thirteen of the detainees will be brought tonight to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, where police will seek to extend their detention. Two other suspects, who are less involved, will be released at the end of the investigation.
