Revenge of the journey • Is Hamodia ignoring Belz?

Is newspaper Hamodia, refrained from publishing news today (Wednesday) on the day of prayer declared by Beis Din of Belz.

Beis Din of Belz Hasidism published a letter yesterday which circulated amongst concentrations of Hasidism, calling to increase prayer.

The letter pub;ished by Badatz members to pray on Wednesday Erev Rosh Chodesh Shevat at Belz's Batei Midrash in the country and the world and say the fourth sefer of Tehillim. Signed by members of Badatz Hgr"s Rosengarten, Hgrh"tz Shapiro and Hgr"y Greenwald.

This morning the letter received publication on the front page of the Hamevaser newspaper, but not Hamodia newspaper.

There were those who interpreted the disregard of this dissatisfaction over the failure of the Belzer Rebbe's trip to the U.S., which constituted one of the reasons for its cancellation.

Belz Hasidim reject it and a source amongst Belz Hasidim told B'Chadrei Charedim: "The letter is a private letter by Belze's beis din's. We did not ask Hamodia to publish. Hamevaser practices to publish each letter the system receives. Belz Hasidim actually see Hamodia as their newspaper, for example Obituaries in Belze are published in Hamodia.
