Manhattan: Satmar protest march against Israel

Mass Satmar demonstration today (Tuesday) by order of Satmar Rebbe Mahara , march in front of the Israeli Embassy in Manhattan , New York.

Hundreds attended the protest today initiated by Satmar Rebbe Mahara Satmar protest against the recruitment law in Israel.

Available to the public were buses leaving from ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Monsey and Monroe, but beyond Satmar Hassidim, there was no great participation.

A senior source piously claimed that most of the demonstrations are held on Sundays when the public does not work and can get to demonstrations, "Today was a normal working day, and many do not come to demonstrate that they could not miss a day of work," he explained.

The demonstration came neatly organized along the streets of Manhattan from the Israeli embassy building of the United Nations.

The marchers carried signs in English and Yiddish against the Israeli government and the law of induction and passed uneventfully.
