Tonight: firing of rocket at Ashkelon Coast settlements

Tonight (Sunday) around midnight, Red Alert was activated in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. In the early morning police sappers located in the Lachish Region South the rocket which fell near a ride station in one of the towns in the council in- between two houses.

The improvised rocket was fired during the night and as stated was detected in the early morning after a partial explosion, causing no damage or casualties. Police sappers who arrived at the fall collected the remains.

Head of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council, Yair Farjun, said: "We continue to maintain vigilance and routine and trust the IDF will know to locate the sources of fire and disable them."

The trickles of shooting at the villages near the Gaza border continue, and the emergency routine they were used to before Operation Pillar of Cloud, slowly returns.
