Indictment: well known Yeshiva student smuggled drugs to jail

Southern District Prosecution by Attorney Eran Sabri, submitted last week to the Be'er Sheva District Court indictment against well known yeshiva student from Beit Yisrael in Jerusalem, who tried two weeks ago to introduce a considerable amount of dangerous drugs of various kinds, for prisoners in one of the prisons.

The indictment charges the defendant counts of attempted mediation of a dangerous drug, possession of drugs for personal consumption and attempt to insert a forbidden object. B'Chadrei Charedim learned that the defendant, served as cantor during Rosh Hashana at the prison.

According to the facts of the indictment, the defendant, a resident of Jerusalem, visited during the month of November 2013 in the prison, and asked to meet prisoners to teach Jewish studies. Accordance with this request the prison rabbi allowed the defendant entry to the wing.

On 05/12/2013, at about 14:30, the defendant came to the prison, when he hides in his sleeve a nylon bag containing at least 49 ml buprenorphine a kind of dangerous drug, dangerous drug -type cannabis weighing 24.4 grams, a dangerous drug cocaine weighing type 0.41 g, dangerous drug MDMA type weighing 0.3 grams, plus cash in the amount of 1000, which he received under unclear circumstances, to enter the dangerous drug and money to an unknown prisoner in the wing.

Arrival of the accused to the gates of the prison were waiting unit of the " liberty " of the prison service, and wanted to search his belongings and clothes . Thereafter, the sparrow unit personnel caught the dangerous drug, and the defendant was arrested.
