Increasing incitement in Beit Shemesh against the mayor Moshe Abutbul and against the entire haredi community, led the mayor to file a complaint with the police station of Beit Shemesh, against what he calls 'disparaging and unrestrained encitement'.

The mayor was accompanied by City Council member Yelena Koniansky, chairman of the party "Beit Shemesh Beiteinu" representing many Russian immigrants in the city, against whom calls of incitement and threats were made after signing a coalition agreement with Aboutbul. It was written about her that she is a 'traitor', 'sells the city', 'Russian', and even most dangerous challenges were posted against her.

Aboutbul did not arrive empty-handed at the police station, he came with a binder full of printouts of Facebook pages from recent weeks, including quotes, one after the other, of obscenity and incitement, unleashing cries bordering on encouraging physical violence as well.

"No matter what differences of opinions are, one can not agree to such frenzy and inciting in Beit Shemesh against the public and elected officials, these are very dangerous things which we all know how they start but not how they end, and that require a police investigation so that it is clarified that not everything is permitted within the framework of freedom of speech, and the words also have a dangerous dimension," said the mayor of Beit Shemesh.

Aboutbul added that he directs his call to all communities in the city, to exercise restraint and mutual respect. One can argue and talk, but you have to know to place red lines, because otherwise things can get out of hand G-d forbid, and things have happened in the past.

It is interesting to note that despite the silence kept by secular parties in face of the incitement and provocation against the mayor and the Haredi community, there are also those who break the wall of silence, including the journalist Tzion Sultan, who is considered as one of the leaders of the struggle in Beit Shemesh. Sultan, who was second place in the list of Beit Shemesh Beiteinu, indeed did not agree to join the coalition, but however against the belligerent responses of the secular bloc in Beit shemesh, he published a proper response.

"You should make note of your own responses, what style and what sub level. Yelena Koniansky was elected with 1399 votes, of which none of the commenters here is not among them. And you should also notice those who preach, who sat with Aboutbul and ran talks or joined him for a coalition for a second term, now preaches to Yelena! ! ! I repeat I did not accept the course and step, but stupidity and folly has a limit. Hypocrisy is celebrating in our town, don't be swayed!" he wrote.
