A well known pair of pickpocket beggars in New York stole a purse, scarf and coat at wedding in Williamsburg • Security cameras caught the events

A pair of beggars who appear every day in the different Batei Midrash in Crown Heights and Borough Park, pick pocketed guests at a wedding held at the beginning of the week (Sunday) in the prestigious hall of Brooklyn

The two were caught on camera as they take a purse from the pocket of an expensive coat of one of the guests as well as a scarf and coat.



The incident took place at a wedding held in the prestigious Razag Bel Rum in Williamsburg, one of the wedding guests from out of town took his coat, and found that the wallet which was in the pocket disappeared. Guest hurried to the hall manager and asked to watch the security cameras. Indeed, the photographs showed two young men who looked like orthodox approach the cloakroom and touching the coats. The younger one seems to pull out the guest's wallet and put it in his pocket, while the other was wearing a different jacket - looks a guest's coat and scarf of a guest and they both leave the cloakroom. Outside one of the thieves was seen begging for charity and one of the guests gives him a dollar.

The guest hurried to cancel his credit card, but not before discovering that the thief has already dined is heart out at the non kosher restaurant located near the wedding hall. Police released the security tape and called the public help in identifying the thieves. At the same time, the Shomrim organization called on the public guards not to leave coats and valuables unattended not even at the synagogues.
