The alliance between the brothers Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett is loose, but some of the religious Zionist rabbis will convene tomorrow (Tuesday) for an emergency meeting for the continued existence of the yeshiva world.
In a letter sent to the rabbis of religious Zionism it stated: "Due to the serious condition of the Torah world, the harsh cuts on every step and corner and the approaching conscription law which will impose criminal and economic sanctions for Torah scholars, and limiting Torah scholars by quotas, and various laws that threaten the status quo, and the state's Jewish identity, and more."
In the conference are expected to attend religious Zionist rabbis: Roshei yeshivos, Dayanim, municipal rabbis, rabbis of settlements and community rabbis, including the Tekuma Party rabbis.
The conference will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) in the shull hall on 22 Chai Taib Street, Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem.
One of the conference organizers who spoke with Behadrey Haredim says, "It is expected that harsh statements will be heard and severe expressions, we are preparing for the arrival of dozens of rabbis from all circles."
Due to weather and snow which is still prevalent, and since there are rabbis from Gush Etzion who could not arrive, the conference was postponed until Tuesday next week at the same place.
