Since Thursday, as in other cities where the snow has left its impressions, including the Neve Zvi neighborhood in Jerusalem, residents suffer from partial disconnection of electricity.

It was tonight (Sunday), when P. - one of the neighborhood residents, noticed the IEC team working at the electrical closet on Nehemiah Street. He turned to one of the workers, wearing a kippah, and asked how it is possible that only part of the house has electricity, and the second part does not.

The worker readily responded and said that he could not explain what he learned during 15 years on one leg, and asked if the house has three-phase connection, when P. replied in the affirmative, the employee gave him a phone number and said that if he wanted help, he should call him later in the evening.

After P. returned home, he told the family about it excitedly, and made contact with the same phone number given by the employee. In the conversation it was explained to him that one can have the electricity in his home fixed temporarily, but for this luxury, he will have to part with NIS 300.

When P. refused to accept the offer, he turned to Behadrey Haredim. Our appeal to the IEC revealed that this is a very serious case contrary to the procedures, and if the case is found to be true, that employee will be fired.

The matter was transferred to an investigating officer of the Jerusalem District Electricity Company.
