Businessman Arcadi Gaydamak , was released yesterday (Wednesday) from custody and is making his way to Israel.

Gaydamak, was detained for two weeks in prison and released in Geneva. He left Switzerland in a private plane to Israel, by approval of one of his associates.

Gaydamak was arrested for debt to Louis Fernandez, former coach of the team Beitar Jerusalem that he owned.

Swiss newspaper "La Tribune" reported that Gaydamak's lawyer signed a financial deal with the prosecutor, Fernandez, regarding the amount claimed, and thus made the release possible.

Gaydamak is wanted by the French because of his involvement in "Angola - Gate" in the '90s, which was allegedly involved in illegal arms sales to African countries.

France filed against Gaydamak extradition request, but the request was denied.
