Yosele 2: Father arrested, abducted son returned to his mother

Central Unit detectives north arrested tonight (Thursday) a Jerusalem resident in his 50's, who took his eight year old son from an educational institution in the north during a framework of visitation rights in February 2013, and has since hid him from his mother against the law. 8-year old child was returned to his mother - who had not seen him for about 9 months.

The investigation began in February 2013, during which a resident of the North, age 45, complained to the police that her partner took the son from the institution - and has gone with him. From the receipt of the complaint investigation began several actions using the finest session technological means in order to trace the movement of the father. Searches were also in places where the father would be.
During the investigation and experience in identifying factors also participated in the main unit of the Northern District, the Jerusalem District police officers and members of the intelligence division at the national headquarters. During the period the suspect took all sorts of measures in order to make it difficult to locate him, and also went from place to place across the country.

Yesterday, in the wake of intelligence and surveillance, police at the central unit for the Northern District arrested the father who was with his son at night in Tel Aviv. They were brought to the police station. The father was taken in for questioning while the son – in coordination with social workers and social services - met with the mother and was safely returned to her care.

This morning police asked to extend the detention of the suspect at the Nazareth Magistrate Court.
