Yeshiva student arrested, hundreds protested outside the military prison

Ultra-Orthodox yeshiva student ignored subpoenas army and was arrested - and was sentenced to 14 days detention at facility 6 in Haifa. Consequently, this morning (Wednesday) at 11:00, there was a demonstration in front of the gates of the prison. Hgr"s Auerbach participated in the demonstration, which was also in Jerusalem.
Question of the disputed subpoenas from Hgray"l Steinman, whose order is actually to comply but do not sign anything, and Hgr"s Auerbach, which favors complete disregard of them. The boy was arrested after he chose to ignore, and therefore has the support of Hgr"s and members of the Jerusalem branch, which are behind the planned show of support.
The boy, Moshe A. Kiryat Malachi, attended the yeshiva Peer Yosef in recent years, in Petah Tikva, and then at the Yeshiva Gedola, Nachlat asher, in the city, established three years ago.
The story began about a year and a half in summer Tsha"b. Moshe received the first summons to the recruiting office before the expiry of law regulating the recruitment rejection of the yeshivas. He came to the recruiting office, stated that 'religious studies' and waited for the next summons, which had planned to submit the document meeting and approval by the conference date.
But in the month of Av the law expired and order of the High Court determined not to accept religious studies as an excuse, but to start the boys on the regular registration procedure prior to screening and recruitment procedures as a young Israeli.
A year ago, in the winter Tsha"b received an order calling him to report back to the recruitment center. Advice of his teachers and his family decided to ignore.
During the year, several summonses were sent to him, but the boy ignored them all. Earlier this week he was at home, and on the night between Sunday and Monday was arrested by the military police.
Custody was told that he can declare the agreement for military service, but if you refrain result - will be brought to court-martial. The boy refused and said that he wanted to continue studying at the yeshiva. He was brought before a military judge, who, as mentioned, has had him arrested for six weeks in prison in Haifa.
Yesterday (Wednesday), attempts were made to introduce the boy with the Haredi attorney.
The IDF said: "The boy in question did not appear at the recruitment to regulate the status and so was treated by the army general orders."
