French Report: Arafat died of natural causes

Yasser Arafat died a natural death: French media reported today (Tuesday) that state researchers have determined that the cause of death of Arafat is a general infection. This assertion is contrary to the Swiss report, which stated that there is a big chance that Arafat was poisoned to death.

A team of French scientists investigating the death of Yasser Arafat in 2004 says that he probably died of natural causes. Palestinians, for their part, have expressed doubts about the French report on the death of their leader.

The official death certificate of the Palestinian leader stated that he died from a stroke in 2004, because of a problem with his blood. Continuing claims against the Palestinians that he was killed by Israel, his body was exhumed last year for testing. Israel, for its part, denies all the charges.

Note that Swiss scientists also stressed in the report that failed to reach a final conclusion, because of the time elapsed since the death of Arafat.
