Harav Ovadia synagogue was closed
The synagogue which runs under the house of Harav Ovadia Yosef zt"l - 45 Hakablan Street, closed and returns to be used as a residence • The shiur of Rishon ezion Hgr"y Yosef will begin starting next Motzei Shabbos at the legendary synagogue, Izdim Bukharan neighborhood • at this synagogue, his father began to give shiurim

Beit Midrash under the house of Harav Ovadia Yosef zt"l closed and next Motzei Shabbos, the legendary satellite shiur will return to operate at the Hizdim .
Closing is due to the opposition of neighbors, on 45 Hakablan Street in Har Nof for the continued activities of the synagogue.
When the synagogue was established under the house Harav Ovadia , a few years ago, a neighbor complained that it bothers him, but following the advanced age of Harav Ovadia he gave in, and shiurim and prayers continued.
Now that Harav Ovadia passed away, the neighbor decided to reapply to close the synagogue, and it was closed.
Because of that, with the coming Shabbos the shiur given by Rishon Hagaon will return to the Hizdim where Hgr"o gave his shiurim for decades.
The shiur was established when Harav Ovadia served as rabbi of Tel Aviv. Every Motzei Shabbos Harav Ovadia gave his shiur ot the Olei Mashad synagogue in Bnei Brak.
When Harav Ovadia moved to Jerusalem, it was decided that the lesson will take place in the Hall of Porat Yosef Yeshiva headed by Hgrb"tz Abba Shaul zt"l, but because it interfered with the conduct of the yeshiva, due to the burden of the public who participated in it, but since תשל"ג the shiur was transferred to the Hizdim Bukharan.
With time due to demand, the shiur was broadcast TV worldwide. When Harav Ovadia weakened in recent years the shiur was transferred to his shul. The circle is now closed again and the Rishon Lezion will continue the tradition of many years.
