Two seniors were liquidated tonight (Tuesday), in the village of Yatta in South Hebron Hills, during an IDF and Shin Bet operation, and who had planned to carry out an attack.

The two senior terrorists who were killed, were active members of the Global Jihad and planned to attack in the coming days. In their cars, guns and explosives were found.

Upon completion of the shooting incident in South Hebron Hills, a third body of a terrorist was discovered on the scene. There were no casualties among the security forces.

Investigations to date indicate that infrastructure activists planned to carry out a series of attacks against Israeli targets, and against the Palestinian Authority. The attempted arrest was preceded by several recent arrests of activists from the Yatir and Shchem area.

In recent months, the terrorists were working on the construction of an extensive military infrastructure including the preparation of a hiding place, and the preparation of weapons.

A security official told the Tatzpit agency that, "A disaster that might have occurred during the holiday has been prevented. This is a real Hanukkah miracle."
