Failure at Atra Kadisha rally in London

In London was held last night (Monday) a rally in support of Atra Kadisha and the struggle for Golbnzitz building in Beit Shemesh.

Assembly was preceded by a dispute between the London great rabbis to participate and express opposition of Rosh Av Beit Din Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch.

Most rabbis of the city, initially supported the participation of the Assembly, but some receded. For example Rabbi Eliezer David Friedman one of the elder rabbis who issued a statement after the signing, because the General Assembly is hurtful and sorrowful to Rosh Av Beit Din Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch and Lgrm"m Shafran so his order is to 'do-nothing'.

Eventually assembly was held in the Beit Midrash Satmar divisive Hmharz"l and attended almost exclusively by Satmar Chassidim.

One who expressed strongly against the rally is Rabbi Sender Erlanger who said: "Instead of having blasphemous there is no dispute of honor of a rabbi about graves Rabbi David Schmidel is greater than Rab"d."

In addition spoke: Chairman Atra Kadisha Rabbi David Schmidel, Rabbi Moshe Pollack, and Rabbi Shaul Sirota, and Chancellor Rabbi Berish Berger, head of the community of Satmar.

One of the activists of Community London said in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim: "After all the bells and whistles Assembly was a crushing failure.
