Jerusalem District Attorney filed this morning (Monday) at the District Court an indictment against Majad Juebah, resident of Jerusalem aged 33, for membership in a terrorist organization and operation of property for terrorist purposes.

According to the indictment, the defendant was a member of Hamas. Within his activity for the organization, the defendant was in contact with Bassem Abu Snina, known to him as a member of the organization based presently in Gaza, who was released from prison in Israel as part of the Shalit deal.

Abu Snina deals with the transfer of funds to the families of Hamas security prisoners and the accused was used as the long arm regarding the distribution of funds to the families of prisoners in Israel and the West Bank. Distribution of the funds was made so that Abu Snina instructed the defendant exactly how to divide the money among the families.

On 11/5/13 the defendant made contact with wife of Khaled Agabarieh who is serving a prison sentence of five years in the Gilboa prison for offenses of aiding the enemy during war, passing information to the enemy, contact with a foreign agent and the prohibition of terrorist property transaction.

The defendant arrived that day at her house in Umm al-Fahem and gave her a sum of NIS 15,000 for her husband.

In addition, during 2013, on an unknown date, after Abu Snina ordered the defendant to transfer funds to Ayman Salhab who is imprisoned for a period of seven years in the Gilboa prison for security offenses, the defendant contacted the wife of Salhab and informed her that there are funds waiting for her on behalf of the "Nur" organization.

The "Nur" organization is an association declared unlawful and serves as an arm of the Hamas which operates to reward families of prisoners of the organization.

During October 2013 the defendant made contact again with the woman and told her to arrive at the mosque in Bab al-Amud, Jerusalem to collect the money. When the woman arrived at the scene, the defendant gave her the sum of $ 1,800.
