Jerusalem District Attorney asked today ( Sunday ) in the District Court, to impose a year in jail on the mother called "starving mother" , she admitted that she used to disconnect the feeding machine from her 3.5 year-old son and starve him.

The prosecution demanded prison sentence, since the claims would not stand the condition of the plea bargain, and sent her son for treatment as commitments. Consequently, the Prosecutor's Office decided to ask for the penalty phase, to impose a year in prison instead of probation agreed upon.

In contrast, the mother's attorneys claim that she held the arrangement "word for word".

Recall on 4th Sivan תש"ע, District Court Judge Joseph Shapira of Jerusalem, convicted the starving mother on the basis of her confession to the charge of abuse of her son.
According to the plea agreement reached between the prosecution and the lawyers of the mother, would be staying for three years under house arrest, after which they will be given sentencing.

In 2010 plea postponed by three years, for a variety of reasons, including its admission of the acts which naturally difficult to admit them, and understanding that they were following the impact of social and environmental factors.

In addition, the mother and her husband pledged to recognize that all children are minors in need, in accordance with the youth, and to hold a series of conditions in the arrangement require the cooperation of family and community. Eventually, it was decided that the mother will stay voluntary house arrest for 3 years.

Attorney Yehuda Fried told B'Chadrei Charedim: "My client has held the plea verbatim, although it was draconian, odd and unlikely, and touches on matters best interests of the child are not related at all to the criminal proceeding unless the welfare authorities."

"Because the state plea bargain promised not to impose my client in prison, should hold the plea bargain, then his conduct in prison, almost bizarre and unacceptable.

"All my client's children are with her for over two years including the minor in question, she takes care of them exemplary, and I am confident that the court will accept my recommendation, and end the criminal proceedings without imprisonment as punishment."

Attorney Tal Gabay, also representing the mother, told B'Chadrei Charedim, "I read the position of the prosecutor's office, very puzzled, since the first load our client violated the order attended the sentencing, while the children are for two years in exclusive possession of the mother, not a serious position, and as such, as though it was her right, the State Prosecutor's Office has been working to remove the children ahead of another, which was not included. I am confident that the court will accept our position, and prevent prison terms. "

According to the indictment filed against the mother, she used to complain to the medical staff who treated her son, C. in Hadassah Hospital and Hadassah Ein Kerem that he is suffering from high fever, indigestion, vomiting, abdominal pain and skin lesions. She also used to provide medical professionals false data about these phenomena all while lying to the medical staff.

In addition, it was noted in the indictment that the defendant would cut off her son sustenance and transfusion difference to them connected during hospitalization, all in order to avoid moving it to her son and to create a false impression to the medical staff whereby he suffers from an inability to digest food in any way and hospitalization is necessary.

The mother used to sabotage her son's body by rubbing the skin strongly and in other ways, causing injuries to him. In one of these cases, the defendant took pajamas with metal buttons, rubbed through the body of her son and caused skin injury and much pain.
