Tragedy in Ashdod: at Yeshiva Dover Shalom of Belz two yeshiva students aged 18 and 17 were injured after the bricks had fallen from a height.

Bricks fell on yeshiva students at the construction site. Hatzalah volunteers at a shopping center nearby, arrived at the scene and provided medical care to two boys, one of them in critical condition, the other in fair condition.

The boys were evacuated in MDA ambulances to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot: 17 year old - severe condition with abdominal and head injuries, and 18 years old with back injury.

This structure is at the yeshiva building, some of which is still under construction and fenced separately. Apparently the boys did not notice the signs and entered the scene, despite the warnings.

Lachish police said that "two people were injured by a collapse which took place in an unfinished building in an active area. It is currently unclear why they went there; it is a support beam which fell. Issue is under review."

Avraham Yeret, medic, United Hatzalah , who treated the injured said: "This is a beam of concrete which for some reason fell and hit the boys who were at the building in renovations next to the yeshiva. Myself and other paramedics gave them primary health care as one of the men was badly bruised his head and lost consciousness. Another boy sustained moderate injuries. Following initial treatment we evacuated casualties to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot".

Revit Martinez MDA paramedic arrived there and took care of the wounded says: "We received a call about two people hit by a concrete beam which fell on them, when we arrived we saw a building being renovated. One of the rooms on the second floor of the building were two young men injured, one lay semi-conscious and suffering from abdominal injury, chest and head injuries and the other sat next to him when he was fully conscious with bruises."

"In the room you could see concrete beam which apparently fell and hit them. We gave them both medical treatment at the scene and mobile intensive care unit evacuated the boy, 17, who was in difficult condition and during the trip we gave him advanced medical care that included medication, anesthesia and evacuated him to Kaplan hospital. The other wounded person suffering from back pain was also evacuated to Kaplan Hospital when he is in mild to moderate condition."

Kaplan Hospital reported that seriously wounded inserted immediately to the operating room, and the second in easy mode is treated in the emergency room. Both are hospitalized for further medical treatment at the hospital.

Please pray for Shlomo ben Nechama Necha and Shevach Yehuda ben Tzarka Ruth for a refua shleima.
